Threads of Hope is our community clothing collection project, designed to provide gently used clothing to our homeless neighbors. This program offers an easy way for community members to donate clothing they no longer need, knowing each item will be cleaned, prepared, and delivered to those in need.
What is Threads of Hope?
Threads of Hope is about more than clothing – it’s about providing comfort, dignity, and warmth to people in our community who are experiencing homelessness. Through this project, we aim to streamline the donation process, making it easy for neighbors to share resources and help lift each other up.
Here’s how it works:
- Donate: Neighbors can submit clothing donations through our website or by calling our dedicated phone line.
- Collection & Cleaning: We partner with a local laundry service to pick up and clean donated items, at a cost of just $1.00 per pound.
- Distribution: Every second Saturday, these donations are delivered to the Salt Tampa Outreach Program, where they’re given directly to those who need them most.
With Threads of Hope, every sweater, coat, and pair of shoes has the potential to bring comfort and hope to someone in need.
